Sounds from the City

Brighton & Hove Music & Arts presents Sounds from the City at the Brighton Dome Pavilion Theatre for its 12th successive year in March. Sounds from the City will showcase the finest young musical talent from Brighton & Hove on 21st and 22nd March.

Since its launch in 2001 the festival for young bands and solo performers has provided a platform for over 200 acts, some of which now enjoy national and international success.

In February over 50 acts auditioned before a judging panel including representatives from the music industry, music educators and young people. Each year the variety of musical talent is hugely impressive, as is the range of musical styles. Following the auditions, successful acts have been invited to perform at Sounds from the City, and they have been working hard ever since to make this year’s event the best yet!
